Christmas in the Barn supports the equines who are a vital part of two local non-profits, Gateway Family Services of Illinois and Hooves of Hope. Both non-profit organizations share the space and partner with the horses as part of their services.

Gateway Family Services of Illinois is a mental health agency that provides trauma focused-equine assisted psychotherapy (Horses Helping Humans Heal), EMDR, art, play, sand, nature-based therapies, as well as psychiatric medication management, Newborn Behavioral Observations, and family support groups.

Hooves of Hope is a faith-based mentoring program that provides day horse camps to teach basic horsemanship skills, learn more about the care of our equines, and teaches about relationships--with God and with our equine partners. Hooves of Hope also hosts Church in the Barn once a month.

Dress in layers for this event! Although portions will have heat, the arena tends to be chilly this time of year.

This event is free to attend! Donations are greatly appreciated as they go to help both nonprofits take care of our equines who are a vital part of both programs!

Gateway Family Services and Hooves of Hope will have a mix of handmade mugs, t-shirts, sweatshirts, horse shoe coasters, leather journals and much more!

All proceeds from the store go right back to support our organizations and the work we are doing in our communities.
